All of our products are responsibly sourced, and we use our scale for good to advance human rights while preserving our planet.
All our certified diamonds are tested and verified, and all our precious metals and gems are responsibly sourced.
We proudly stand behind the value of each diamond we sell with a lifetime guarantee* and trade-in privileges on all diamond purchases. As a proud and Founding Member of the Responsible Jewellery Council, KAY Jewelers' parent company, Signet, uses its scale for good to advance human rights while preserving our planet.
This is our Promise to you, so you can Celebrate Life and Express Love with jewelry that was sourced with the highest standards in mind, honoring people and our planet.
To help our customers find the perfect symbols to express their love, we source diamonds the world over, from the deserts in southern Africa to the barren white landscape of the Canadian Arctic. We work with global partners in some of the most remote places on the planet to ensure high standards are met when sourcing Earth’s natural creations.
Our parent company, Signet, is proud to have either co-created or co-founded a number of key global initiatives that involve the responsible sourcing of diamonds, colored gemstones and precious metals, and proud to provide our customers the confidence they need in making such a special purchase.
KAY’s parent company is one of 14 Founding Members of the Responsible Jewelry Council, the world’s leading standard-setting organization for the jewelry and watch industry since 2005. The Responsible Jewelry Council boasts more than 1,600 members representing all aspects of the supply chain from mine to retail.
We require that all of our strategic and key suppliers in our supply chain become active members of the RJC and adhere to its strict standards. Today, we remain a participant in the RJC's Sustainable Development Goals Taskforce and numerous committees, actively ensuring adherence to globally responsible business practices.
Diamonds can be traded many times between each step of the supply chain. We work to ensure the diamonds used in our jewelry come from companies who act responsibly. KAY's parent company is an active, founding member of the World Diamond Council, a non-profit trade association established in 2000 to combine efforts in the global diamond industry to support the Kimberley Process, an international certification program that regulates trade in rough diamonds.
We urge everyone with a stake in our industry to continue with, or join us in, the pursuit of integrity, transparency and accountability by joining the Responsible Jewellery Council and the World Diamond Council.
Any one of our certified diamontologists can guide you to the perfect diamond for you. In fact, KAY’s parent company employs and trains more certified diamontologists and gemologists than any other jewelry retailer in the U.S., Certified by the Diamond Council of America. Each year, KAY’s jewelry experts guide millions of customers to the diamonds, gemstones and precious metals that enable them to Celebrate Life and Express Love.
A diamond’s brilliance, as well as its impact, should live for generations. Services like jewelry care and repair, as well as diamond jewelry trade-in programs, enable customers to express their love for others and themselves while knowing that many parts of jewelry placed in our care is reused, resold, or repurposed (we even save the “diamond dust” created from diamond polishing, which is reused in items like drills and flat-screen TVs).
The principles of the circular economy are built into our business model to extend the life of nearly every piece of jewelry we touch.
